Get Fractal Explorer Files      At times the Fractal Explorer site is down, often due to too many people accessing it at once. Therefore, many of the files accessable on the main FE site are also available here and on other mirror sites. Please download any file you may need but also be sure to visit the main FE site when you get a chance! It is always possible that a newer version of a file is on the main Fractal Explorer site before it is mirrored here.       Of note, sometimes you will need to unzip the file into a folder outside of FE and then copy it into the FE folder. I don't know why you must do this but sometimes that is the only way to get the files to work. Go to the Fractal Explorer site FE version 2.02 Zipped up help file Fractal Landscapes Library ver1.07 You must download this and unzip into your FE folder in order to make landscapes. Windows95 and computers with older graphic cards will need to download the OpenGL Libraries (see below) Sterling formula library (ftloo01.dll) For those times when you get the "Sterling formula library (ftloo01.dll) not found" error. This file is zipped, just unzip into your FE folder. FE compiler ver2.03 (468kb) If you hear a scream when you open certain spots or try to compile your own formula then you need this file! Texture Library (1.26mb) Sometimes the texture library doesn't come with FE so just snag it here! OpenGL Libraries for graphic cards that do not have OpenGL capabilities (357kb) Needed if you plan to do landscapes. As per the FE site: "The Fractal Lanscapes Library requires OpenGL support. The drivers by some videocards has no ICD OpenGL driver. (ICD - Installable Client Driver.) The software OpenGL renderer inqluded into Windows 98/ME/2000. But Windows 95 users should download MS OpenGL Client DLLs (356kB). Unzip this archive into Windows\System or Fractal Explorer's folder." Back to the FEUsers main Link page
